A prominent water hygiene services provider is seeking a Water Hygiene Engineer / Remedial Plumber in Manchester. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the water hygiene industry, undertake cleaning and chlorination of water systems, and perform remedial plumbing duties. Excellent communication and compliance with Health & Safety legislation are essential. This position offers a salary between £20k – £35k alongside training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience working in the water hygiene industry and carrying out duties in line with ACOP L8 guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning and chlorination on hot and cold water systems and cooling towers.
• Conduct regular temperature monitoring, sampling and analysis of water.
• Ensure work is in line with Health & Safety legislation and ACOP L8 guidelines.

Profile

Our client is well established within the Legionella / Water hygiene industry with a UK‑wide presence. They deliver high‑quality legionella / water hygiene services across a mixed portfolio of sites and are now looking to take on a hardworking and motivated Water Hygiene Engineer / Remedial Plumber. The ideal candidate will hold extensive experience working on a mixed portfolio of sites, undertaking cleaning and chlorination of hot and cold water systems, repairing, replacing and servicing TMVs and performing remedial plumbing works in line with company needs.

Bolton, Warrington, Wigan, Bury, Liverpool, Birkenhead, Chester, Crewe, Blackpool, Blackburn, Lancaster, Burnley, Kendal, Carlisle, Rhyl, Llandudno, and Wrexham.

Experience & Qualifications

• Extensive experience working in the water hygiene industry and carrying out duties in line with ACOP L8 guidelines.
• Ideally hold NVQ L2 or City & Guilds equivalent plumbing qualification.
• Experience delivering remedial plumbing duties to a varied site base.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning and chlorination on hot and cold water systems and cooling towers.
• Undertake analysis on closed systems and chemical dosing.
• Conduct regular temperature monitoring, sampling and analysis of water.
• Repair, replace and service TMVs and showerheads.
• Maintain and install dosing systems.
• Perform any required remedial works.
• Build and maintain good working relationships with clients.
• Ensure work is carried out in line with relevant Health & Safety legislation and ACOP L8 guidelines.
