About the day to day...

As an Audit Senior working within our Manchester office, you will be assisting the managers and assistant managers to ensure the delivery of statutory audits across our client portfolio. You’ll get stuck into a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities, including:

  • Assisting in the day‑to‑day conduct of audits and supporting the trainees
  • Ensuring that you are fully briefed on the requirements of the assignment, including any special factors, in order to be fully efficient from the first day of the assignment
  • Carrying out the audit procedures allocated to you
  • Monitoring overall progress against the timetable and budget
  • Resolving audit queries to the extent that you feel able to do so
  • Making suggestions for amendments to the assignment approach when you perceive more efficient means to the same end
  • Being prepared to make suggestions to the Manager for the improvement of client procedures
  • Facilitating the completion of the job by ensuring appropriate procedures are complied with
  • Communicating to management on the progress of workload and planning for efficient completion
