Majestic Wine Marylebone is looking for a Trainee Manager.
We are seeking a Trainee Manager to join us as we continue to grow our business in one of our busiest stores. We believe that our success comes from our dedicated Majestic people, and there is no better place to start than at the heart of our internal talent pool.
The Role
As a Majestic Trainee Manager, you will undertake a 12-month development programme that provides a comprehensive understanding and experience of all operational, service, and leadership standards necessary to become a future Majestic Store Manager. You will work through the career pathway training programme with your Store Manager's support, setting you up for future success.
Key Responsibilities

- Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and optimising KPI performance through focused plans to exceed targets.
- Deliver exceptional market-leading customer service to foster business growth via customer loyalty and repeat purchases.
- Offer a VIP concierge service, proactively contacting customers with updates on products and tastings.
- Promote the story behind our products, managing tasting events and executing an enticing tasting counter.
- Enhance your wine knowledge to support your WSET qualification and improve sales confidence.
- Maintain the store’s appearance and operational standards internally and externally.
- Participate in all operational tasks, including stock deliveries, merchandising, and customer outreach to drive sales.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety, and legal requirements.
- Take ownership of your development, utilizing available resources and support.
- Act as a role model for Majestic’s Ways of Working and support junior team members, providing feedback to your Store Manager.
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Experience in a fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environment.
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Strong prioritisation and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude with a passion for problem-solving.
- Adaptability and resilience.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Passion for wine and willingness to pursue level 2 & 3 WSET qualifications.
- Full UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
