Job Specification – Trainee Account Handler within the Operational Risk Division

The Operational Risk Division is the largest division in the Company handling International Liability, Healthcare / Medical Malpractice, Professional Indemnity, Property, Environmental Liability and other classes of business. The Division has a strong focus on Canadian business insurance, placing in excess of $100,000,000 total premiums annually.

As a Trainee Account Handler the individual will join a small team responsible for supporting the broking and in-house underwriting International Liability teams. The role will include reviewing all new and renewal enquiries, client queries and communicating directly with international clients.

Responsibilities will also include data inputting and filing, preparing renewal quotes and learning about the in-house underwriting and broking roles.

Successful applicants will be supported in undertaking their Chartered Insurance Institute examinations.

The role will progress into taking more responsibility in either the International Liability broking or in-house underwriting teams.
