Neway International are seeking a Caretaker (Grade 4) to join our client based with Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council. The temporary role will provide essential caretaking and site support during a vacancy period pending recruitment.
- Open and close the site daily, including responsibility for alarms and security systems.
- Carry out routine maintenance, minor repairs, and general caretaking duties.
- Monitor health and safety standards across the premises.
- Support cleaning and site management tasks as required.
- Liaise with staff and contractors to ensure smooth operation of building services.
- Previous caretaking or facilities management experience preferred.
- Ability to work split shifts (early mornings and afternoons).
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for staff and pupils.
- Start Date: 28 November 2025
- End Date: 24 December 2025
- Duration: 4 Weeks
- Hours: 32.5 per week (Shift pattern: 06:30 - 09:30 & 15:00 - 18:30)
- Pay Rates: PAYE: £13.69 per hour | Limited/Umbrella: £17.41 per hour
