Purpose: Join Beauparc as a HGV Technician at our Manchester site providing service, maintenance and breakdown cover for our fleet of 26 HGV’s.

• Vehicle Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs on heavy goods vehicles.
• Attending Breakdowns where necessary.
• Prep and present vehicles for annual test.
• Manage your own workload ensuring maximum vehicle uptime.
• Diagnostic Procedures: Diagnose, identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues on vehicle and body systems.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used in the maintenance database.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during all maintenance procedures.

• Perform routine maintenance.
• Electrical and engine troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Engine and transmission repairs.
• Perform incidental welding operations and other mechanical repair work as required.
• Perform inspections and test mechanical units.
• Diagnose faults and malfunctions * Adjust, repair and/or replace parts and components of transport systems.
• Provide training and advice to apprentices and co‑workers as required.
• Ability to use power and hand tools related to motor vehicle service and repair.
• Be able to work shift work and extra hours as required to keep up with business demands.

• Qualified Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic (HGV Mechanic).
• Minimum 3 years post apprenticeship experience in HGV maintenance and repair.
• High degree of product and technical knowledge.
• Strong diagnostics capabilities with good computer skills.
• Must be organized & self‑motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Motivated team player with a strong sense of commitment to the team.
• Ability to understand and carry out instructions via written, verbal, or diagram form.
• Knowledge of waste collection vehicles preferred.
