Do you want to work in a team where self‑compassion and support for colleagues is valued as highly as the compassion we offer our patients? In our team, we judge success by how much our colleagues love their jobs; we know that this leads to better healthcare outcomes for our population.

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC) is seeking to recruit 1.0 WTE Musculoskeletal (MSK) First Contact Physiotherapist (FCP) to support our FCP service in Keswick and Solway PCN. If successful, you will be responsible for supporting delivery and development of the NCIC FCP service in Primary Care. This is an exciting opportunity to improve clinical quality and operational efficiency; enhance MSK related pathways of care; and advance healthcare delivery for the Keswick and Solway population who suffer with MSK related conditions and disorders.

North Cumbria has so much to offer if you are looking for an exciting work life balance. Carlisle has everything that you would expect from the region’s only city including a rich cultural history and vibrant social scene. There are several Cumbrian market towns across the region, including Keswick and Wigton. If the great outdoors is more your thing, the Lake District National Park offers unrivalled scenery, a multitude of outdoor activities and opportunities to unwind.

If you have the knowledge, skills and expertise to enhance our North Cumbria MSK FCP service, don't hesitate to apply for this fantastic opportunity today.

Main duties of the job

As an FCP, you will provide MSK related clinical expertise, managing your own clinical caseload with varying degrees of clinical complexity and uncertainty. You will be required to work closely with the FCP leads; GP's and other members of the primary care multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal MSK related care to the local population. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills as you establish relationships within primary care and with other key stakeholders in community and secondary care MSK related and interrelated services. NCIC is committed to delivering high quality, evidence based clinical care and you will be responsible for ensuring that this is the case in our FCP service. You will be able to evidence previous experience of working at a specialist or highly specialist level of clinical practice in the field of MSK related physiotherapy. You should be working towards stage 1 of the MSK FCP Roadmap to Practice with a willingness to complete stage 2.
