QA/QC Inspector (Civil)
Job summary
A global recruitment agency seeks a QA/QC Inspector - Civil for a project in Qatar. The role involves implementing quality management procedures, ensuring safety and compliance, and coordinating inspections and tests in the oil and gas sector. Responsibilities
- Implement quality management system procedures for the function.
- Ensure personal and team safety and participate in project safety measures.
- Prevent environmental pollution during project activities.
- Coordinate and carry out inspections and tests according to quality plans.
- Prepare and maintain inspection records, reports, and documentation.
- Assist construction personnel in developing quality documentation.
- Monitor contractor compliance with QA/QC procedures for various activities.
- Witness site and laboratory tests ensuring specifications are met.
- Perform random checks on delivered materials and equipment.
- Identify non-conformances and track corrective actions.
- Monitor and report trends of non-compliance.
- Liaise with field supervisors and contractors to ensure standards are met.

Education
Job Title: QA/QC Inspector - Civil
Location: Qatar
- Degree or diploma in Civil, Structural, Architecture, Geological, or equivalent discipline.
- Formal QC training and membership of a recognized professional institution is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of QC procedures, inspection, and testing requirements for major oil & gas or petrochemical projects.
- Ability to work effectively with contractors, multidisciplinary teams, and multicultural environments.
- Familiarity with international codes and standards (e.g., QCS, ACI, AISC).
- Implement relevant quality management system procedures for the function.
- Ensure personal and team safety and actively participate in project safety measures.
- Prevent environmental pollution during project activities.
- Coordinate and carry out inspections and tests according to project quality plans and ITPs.
- Prepare and maintain inspection records, reports, and related documentation.
- Assist construction personnel in developing quality documentation, including method statements, work procedures, inspection/test plans, and records.
- Monitor contractor compliance with QA/QC procedures for concrete casting, steel fixing, anchor bolts, grouting, steel erection, block works, soil & excavation, and material receiving.
- Witness site and laboratory tests, ensuring materials and equipment meet specifications.
- Perform random checks on delivered materials, batch plants, mixers, and lifting equipment.
- Identify non-conformances, initiate corrective actions, and track their closure.
- Monitor and report trends of non-compliance, providing feedback on contractor performance.
- Liaise with field supervisors and contractors to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
