A reputable construction contractor in Cardiff is seeking up to 3 Site Managers to oversee the daily operations of multiple construction projects valued between £500k and £10m. Responsibilities include managing workforce performance, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring all health and safety measures are adhered to. Ideal candidates will have a strong track record in managing construction sites, with a focus on quality and efficiency. This role is pivotal to maintaining the high standards expected in the delivery of various construction schemes.
Blue Water Recruitment is proud to be supporting a long-standing and highly respected construction contractor with a strong pipeline of work throughout Cardiff and South Wales. We are currently looking to appoint up to 3 Site Managers to strengthen their expanding delivery team.
The appointed Site Managers will take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of construction sites on projects typically valued between £500k and £10m. Schemes span a wide range of sectors, including:
Multi-unit residential developments
Hotel and leisure buildings
Education projects
Healthcare facilities
General build works, covering both Design & Build and Refurbishment schemes
Your role will involve overseeing multiple elements of construction, such as:
Structural operations, including concrete frame works
Internal fit‑out and finishing trades
External works and coordination with utility providers
Management and integration of specialist subcontract packages
Oversee daily site operations and manage the workforce effectively
Drive performance and coordination of subcontractors
Provide regular updates and progress reports to the Project Manager
Ensure project programme, quality benchmarks, and cost targets are met
Plan and manage site logistics to maintain steady and efficient workflow
Uphold all company and statutory health & safety policies
Deliver site inductions, safety briefings, and toolbox talks
Continually assess site conditions and implement corrective actions when required
Encourage and maintain a positive safety culture across the site
