I am working with a well-established and award-winning multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy, currently looking to expand their infrastructure team with an experienced Infrastructure Engineer. Based in Sheffield, this role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of residential and commercial developments.
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be involved in the design and delivery of key infrastructure projects. You'll be part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team and will play a hands-on role in technical design, project coordination, and client liaison.
The key responsibilities for this Senior Infrastructure Engineer role are:
- Designing and preparing drawings for surface water drainage, sewer networks, and external levels in residential and commercial projects.
- Designing and preparing highway designs including horizontal and vertical geometry (S38, S278, S104 standards).
- Using specialist software such as AutoCAD, PDS, and MicroDrainage/Windes.
- Producing technical schedules and documentation.
- Attending meetings with clients, consultants, suppliers and stakeholders when required
- Ensuring work is delivered on time and within budget.
- Ensuring that appropriate design/service decisions are met.
- Communicating with Directors on relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the company and the client are achieved.
- Supporting Graduate Engineers and mentoring junior staff.
- Engaging in CPD, self-learning and personal development.
- Actively working towards Chartered Engineering status (where applicable).
- Coordinating your design work with other disciplines within the project team.
Experience required for this Senior Infrastructure Engineer role are:
- Communicating with Directors on relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the company and the client are achieved.
- Strong knowledge of highway and drainage design to adoptable standards (S38, S278, S104, S206).
- Proficiency with relevant design software (AutoCAD, PDS, and MicroDrainage/Windes).
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
- At least 5 years relevant experience
