Job summary
A legal recruitment agency is seeking a qualified Solicitor for a full-time position focused on Social Housing, based in Greater Manchester. This role offers flexibility to work remotely with a salary of approximately £55,000 annually. The ideal candidate will manage disrepair cases and handle a range of legal issues, including landlord and tenant matters. Experience in this field is essential for success in this position.

- Handle a case load of routine and complex legal cases.
- Manage disrepair matters and provide legal representation.

Skills
Education
We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association in Greater Manchester, who are looking for a Solicitor to join the team on a permanent basis.
This will be a full-time position which can be conducted remotely, offering a salary of circa £55,000 per annum.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing disrepair cases, and they must be a qualified solicitor.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Handling a case load of routine, complex and potentially sensitive legal cases made up of contentious and non-contentious matters including advice on repairs obligations and other landlord & tenant related matters
- Managing predominantly disrepair matters, but also covering tenancy enforcement, injunction and general housing management advice
- Providing specialist and responsive legal and procedural advice to the organisation, colleagues and members
- Providing legal representation for the organisation and act as professional legal advocate in courts and tribunals
Experience required:
- Experience required in Social Housing
- Experience managing extensive disrepair claims and cases
- Experience and ability to handle large, complex and demanding legal caseloads with competing deadlines
