Job Description

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association in Greater Manchester, who are looking for a Solicitor to join the team on a permanent basis.

This will be a full-time position which can be conducted remotely, offering a salary of circa £55,000 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing disrepair cases, and they must be a qualified solicitor.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Handling a case load of routine, complex and potentially sensitive legal cases made up of contentious and non-contentious matters including advice on repairs obligations and other landlord & tenant related matters
  • Managing predominantly disrepair matters, but also covering tenancy enforcement, injunction and general housing management advice
  • Providing specialist and responsive legal and procedural advice to the organisation, colleagues and members
  • Providing legal representation for the organisation and act as professional legal advocate in courts and tribunals

Experience required:

  • Experience required in Social Housing
  • Experience managing extensive disrepair claims and cases
  • Experience and ability to handle large, complex and demanding legal caseloads with competing deadlines
