Cornwall IT Services (CITS) manages the county wide IT technical infrastructure, data and voice services and device support on behalf of the countywide Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Healthcare community. The Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust is currently involved in a major project to upgrade its network infrastructure. The work is being carried out by the Unified Communications (UC) team. To assist with this work a vacancy has arisen within the UC team.

• Unboxing and configuration of new equipment.
• Physical installation of new equipment including replacing old network access points (APs) that are installed across the Treliske campus (in corridors, offices and clinical areas) – N.B. There are in excess of 1,000 APs to install.
• Disposal of old equipment.
• Work may need to be carried out without supervision under the direction of other team members.
• Installation of wireless access points will involve the use of step ladders – appropriate training will be provided.
