Junior Designer – Multi Product – Mens, Womens and Kids

Overview

This is a great opportunity to join and gain experience with a fast-growing business in the design team as an established Junior CAD designer at Mountain Warehouse. We are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious and creative designer to join a small, fast-paced team who will bring support and value to the business.

Reporting into the Design Manager, we are looking for a designer with a minimum of 2 years’ experience designing Casual, Active and Swim ranges. Duties involve researching into colour and shape, designing apparel products across Men’s, Women’s and Kids departments.

What you’ll be doing

• Design across multi-product ranges including Casual (Jersey and Woven), Active, and Swim for Men’s, Women’s, and Kids.
• Analyse the marketplace to identify emerging shapes, fabrics, and colour trends.
• Oversee the product lifecycle from research to tech pack stage.
• Collaborate with buying teams and liaise with suppliers for sourcing and design direction.
• Meet deadlines and brief constraints effectively.
• Create original, inspiring, and commercially viable designs reflecting the brand’s image.
• Develop trim and tech packs with high accuracy and detail.
• Present and articulate seasonal creative concepts to directors.
• Maintain critical path to ensure timely sample production.
• Coordinate with team members for efficient communication.

We’d love to meet someone with

• Over 2 years of experience in Casual (jersey and woven), active, and swim design, with strong technical knowledge of outerwear construction, fabrics, and finishes.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.
• An engaging design portfolio demonstrating development with tech packs across outerwear, activewear, and casualwear.
• Excellent time management and project coordination skills, capable of handling multiple deadlines.
• Strong team collaboration and communication skills.
