Atthis wonderful school, we are seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join a forward-thinking team. You’ll teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5, if applicable), helping students unlock the beauty of literature and master the skills of powerful communication. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as an English Teacher:

• Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in English language and literature

• Inspire pupils to think critically, communicate clearly, and write creatively

• Plan and adapt schemes of work to meet diverse learning needs

• Prepare students for GCSE (and A-Level, if applicable) assessments and exams

• Monitor pupil progress and provide effective feedback

• Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and resources

• Take part in enrichment activities such as book clubs, debating, or school productions

Ideal English Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• A degree in English or a related subject

• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for literature and language

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

• A creative, inclusive approach that supports all learners

• Commitment to CPD and reflective practice
