SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Bexley, London

Contract: Monday - Friday, Term Time Only

Hours: 8:30am - 3:45pm

Pay: £90 per day

Start Date: ASAP - July 2025 with the potential to extend into September 2025

Are you passionate about changing lives through Education? Sanza Teaching Agency are looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to step into a full-time role, starting immediately. This is your chance to work closely in the Primary School providing vital academic and emotional support.

Requirements of Applicant:
  1. Experience working with children with SEND, including autism, ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs), and other learning difficulties.
  2. Ability to manage challenging behaviour using positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques.
  3. Strong communication skills to effectively support students, teachers, and parents.
  4. Patience, empathy, and resilience to work with pupils who require additional support.
  5. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe learning environment.
  6. Ability to adapt learning materials and activities to meet the needs of individual pupils.
  7. Collaborative mindset to work effectively with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists.
