We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced and forward-thinking nurse to join our Community Nursing Team in Solihull as an Out of Hours Nurse, working three nights per week.

This role is ideal for a highly motivated, dynamic practitioner who thrives when working autonomously and is passionate about delivering exceptional care within the community. Previous community nursing experience is essential.

Our Community Nursing Teams are enthusiastic, supportive, and committed to delivering the highest standards of patient-centred care. You'll be part of a skilled and compassionate group of professionals who work collaboratively with colleagues across primary and secondary care, as well as with patients, families, and carers in their own homes.

As an Out of Hours Community Nurse, you will:

  • Provide high quality, evidence-based care to patients with a wide range of needs, including those with complex conditions
  • Work independently to assess, plan, and deliver care during out-of-hours periods
  • Contribute to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and patient experience
  • Respond confidently to the evolving demands of community and primary care services

Main duties of the job

We are looking for highly motivated, forward-thinking, energetic, and innovative individuals who pride themselves in providing complex and holistic patient assessment, and who are dedicated to delivering exceptional standards of care. This will include individual and personalised support, coaching and assessment in order to maximise your full individual potential.

As a Senior nurse you will demonstrate good leadership skills with the ability to independently make sound clinical and leadership judgements and regularly support and supervise junior colleagues. You will also hold responsibility for the management of the night nursing team and an entity.

You will need to be able to meet the needs of the service by being available to work flexibly between the hours of 21.00 and 07.30. On a rota basis over a 7-day period and be able to drive.
