A leading healthcare provider in Lewes is seeking a General Practitioner to deliver high-quality healthcare at HMP Lewes. You will work face-to-face with patients, support their intake, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team. The role requires relevant qualifications, experience, and the ability to manage patients with complex needs. We have a fantastic opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our healthcare team at HMP Lewes, a category B remand prison based in Lewes, East Sussex. The prison houses around 692 patients aged between 18‑65 years. In this role you will work in reception supporting the intake of new patients and work closely with the multi‑disciplinary team, including substance misuse nurses and the early days mental‑health team to deliver high quality healthcare services. The suitable applicant must have experience and be comfortable prescribing controlled substances.

1 weekday evening 6pm‑10pm, 1 Saturday per month 2‑6pm. These sessions are face‑to‑face with patients on site at HMP Lewes.
This part‑time role works 8 hours per week, with an annual salary up to £134,680 FTE, depending on experience.
