Remote Energy Trading Market Analyst
Job summary
A leading energy solutions provider in the United Kingdom seeks a Power Trading Specialist to engage with customers and optimize the use of PLEXOS software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electricity markets, power trading, and optimization tools, alongside excellent communication skills. This role offers flexibility for remote work and opportunities for international travel across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years’ experience in energy markets with a strong understanding of energy economics.
- Experience in energy market supply and demand modelling via optimization/unit commitment.
- Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to power trading customers.
- Design and implement innovative modelling approaches using PLEXOS.
- Train trading teams to effectively use PLEXOS for decision support.
