Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist

Salary: £30,000 - £48,000 pro rata - Term Time Only plus two weeks in school holidays

Hours: 24 hrs, 3 days, 8.30am - 4.30pm

Contract: Permanent, Term Time only, plus two weeks in school holidays

Essential: Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle required

About the role

We offer a £2,000 training allowance in the first year for role-specific training tailored to your needs.

This role provides an opportunity to develop our Speech and Language Therapy services, working alongside the Lead Clinician, Clinical Locality Lead, and Head of Speech and Language Therapy.

We seek a candidate with experience in preventative interventions at a systems level and a whole school approach (we consider newly qualified clinicians). The role involves collaborating with education staff and other clinicians to maximize impact for students.

You will manage a speech and language therapy caseload and contribute to staff training and consultation, supported by our Clinical Team. The role suits a resilient, enthusiastic individual with a creative therapeutic approach and good decision-making skills. You will also provide training and information to staff, commissioners, and agencies.

Location: Underlay Gardens School – Kirby Lonsdale

• Speech and Language Therapy degree
• Registered with HCPC and RCSLT or RCOT
• 1-2 years experience as a fully registered RCSLT member in a similar setting
• Clear, concise report writing skills
• Ability to work independently under supervision
• Experience with multi-professional teams
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
