Job summary
A well-established manufacturing business in Taunton is seeking a Lead Quality Engineer to ensure product quality and compliance with rigorous standards. You'll be responsible for electrical and mechanical inspections, qualification testing, and maintaining quality documentation. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience with certified management systems like ISO/IATF 16949 and a strong background in quality assurance. - 5+ years of experience working with certified management systems (ISO / IATF 16949).
- Experience in electrical and electronic components manufacturing environments.
- Extensive experience in customer quality assurance and auditing.
Responsibilities
- Perform and supervise inspections of finished components.
- Conduct qualification testing to meet internal and customer standards.
- Maintain inspection and test records in line with quality requirements.
- Assist with quality documentation, including PPAP, FMEA, and control plans.
