Senior Software Engineer (Python) – We are working with one of the UKs most exciting scale-ups to find them Senior Software Engineers with exceptional knowledge of building great products in Python on AWS. They use machine learning technology to help tackle climate change by reducing carbon emissions. They are at a critical period in their journey and will be growing their engineering function from 50 to 150 people in 2022 as they rapidly scale their platform and explore new markets.

They live and breathe their key principles to give employees the freedom to decide where they work, when they work and how much they work as well as the autonomy to empower ownership of problems and support to deliver their solutions. This does mean you require a level of pro-activity to be able to cope with ambiguity; however, there is a huge amount of support from the leadership and internal communities they’ve created.

• As Senior Software Engineer you will collaborate with product, design and other teams to understand the needs of the business, the customers and colleagues so you can support your team.
• You will work in a cross-functional team to design and build suitable solutions to a variety of challenges as the products and platforms scale. You will predominantly be using Python on AWS and they are fans of DDD but they also offer freedom in their technology choices.
• An advocate of best practice you will implement and evolve processes that ensure quality is built in from the start and excellence is delivered through Agile practices (TDD / BDD / DD), continuous delivery and iterative engineering practices.
• Engage with your squad and the wider engineering community to foster an inclusive and collaborative culture, encouraging peer to peer feedback and evolving healthy, curious and humble teams.

Python, Javascript / Typescript, React / React Native, AWS, GraphQL, Snowflake, Airflow, DDD.
