Job summary
A global hedge fund is seeking a Digital Assets Trader to join its growing trading desk in London. The successful candidate will develop and implement trading strategies across various digital asset products, execute trades across multiple venues and manage risk. Candidates should have 5-10 years of trading experience with a strong quantitative background and proficiency in programming such as Python. This position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for collaboration and innovation in the digital assets space.

- 5-10 years of professional trading experience with significant exposure to digital assets.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Proficiency in programming (e.g. Python, or similar) would be helpful.
- Deep understanding of crypto market structure, liquidity dynamics, exchanges, OTC desks, and trading venues.

Digital Assets Trader - Hedge Fund
Our client, a global hedge fund, is looking to hire a Trader to join it’s growing digital asset trading desk. As a Digital Assets Trader, you will execute and manage trading strategies, monitor risk and liquidity, and work closely with quantitative, research and technology teams to build and refine trading infrastructure.
- Develop, implement and optimise trading strategies across crypto spot, futures and other digital-asset products
- Execute trades across multiple venues
- Manage positions and risk: ensure adherence to the fund's risk mandate, perform regular P&L, risk-limit and performance reviews
- Monitor market structure, liquidity, order flow and volatility: identify opportunities, dislocations and signal generation
- Collaborate with quantitative researchers and developers to build and maintain trading infrastructure and analytics tools.
- Provide regular trading performance reporting, trade justification and post-trade analysis
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory, operational and market developments in crypto / digital assets.
- 5-10 years of professional trading experience with significant exposure to digital assets
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Proficiency in programming (e.g. Python, or similar) would be helpful
- Deep understanding of crypto market structure, liquidity dynamics, exchanges, OTC desks, and trading venues
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and make timely decisions in fast-moving markets, while maintaining discipline and risk controls
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a relevant quantitative discipline (e.g. Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering)
