We are Europe’s leading design, engineering, environment and regulatory consultancy. We are future planners, city shapers, urban innovators, digital transformers, net zero chasers, community connectors, social enterprisers and lifestyle improvers. We are now seeking applicants for the November 2026 cohort of our Early Careers Graduate Scheme. In this cohort, we are recruiting to role – and right now we are looking for a Graduate Transport Modeller to join the Transport Modelling Team in Birmingham.
As a Graduate Transport Modeller you will contribute to the delivery of a wide variety of projects within a thriving transport business sector for several key clients. You will take ownership and responsibility for the quality of work you produce, ensuring it is delivered in line with agreed timescales. You will bring a keen interest in transport and the urban environment to help shape the future of transportation, creating greener, cleaner, and more equitable systems that address the challenges of the 21st century. Our activities range from strategic multi‑modal modelling, data analytics, and microsimulation modelling to support transport appraisal and business case development through feasibility study to implementation.
You will have less than 12 months of relevant work experience (excluding placements) and be confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
We offer a permanent position with an industry‑standard salary and benefits package, including 25 days holiday, a pension scheme, life assurance, flexible start and finish times, part‑time and hybrid working options, and a professional development pathway toward chartered status.
We will hold an assessment centre for this position in January/February 2026.
We aim to promote equality, inclusivity and diversity for everyone. Here at Sweco, we positively encourage applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status, pregnancy or maternity/paternity. We are also proud to be a Disability‑Confident employer and will interview applicants covered by the Equality Act 2010 that opt into the guaranteed interview scheme on the application form and meet the minimum criteria for the role. If you have a disability that requires a reasonable accommodation to complete any part of the application process or are limited in the ability to use the online application system and need an alternative method for applying, please contact GB_Function-HR-Resourcing@sweco. We have defined processes for recruitment applications and it is company policy not to accept speculative CVs.
