Skills
We are recruiting for an experienced Civil Supervisor to join a growing power and utilities contractor delivering critical infrastructure projects across the UK. This is a hands‑on supervisory role where the Civil Supervisor will lead excavation and reinstatement works on mains electrical networks in both private and highway environments.
As a Civil Supervisor, you will manage site teams working on DNO and IDNO connections, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with industry standards. This permanent opportunity offers long‑term stability, varied projects, and the chance to play a key role in a business that invests in its people and continues to expand its service offering.
Location: East of UK site coverage
Type: Permanent, full-time
- Supervise excavation and reinstatement works in line with HAUC standards
- Oversee civils activities on mains electrical networks (DNO / IDNO projects)
- Lead and manage site operatives, ensuring safe systems of work are followed
- Ensure compliance with HSEQ policies, risk assessments, and method statements
- Coordinate plant, equipment, and vehicle use including LGVs
- Manage emergency call‑outs and standby rota participation when required
- Conduct site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance
- Communicate effectively with project teams, clients, and operatives
- Ensure accurate digital reporting and documentation of site activities
- Proven experience as a Civil Supervisor within utilities or power distribution
- NRSWA Supervisor (Units S1-S7) qualification
- EUSR SHEA Power card
- Emergency First Aid certification
- Experience working on highways and private land installations
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Sound knowledge of health & safety legislation and HSEQ best practice
- Confident using digital job management and reporting systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Competitive salary (DOE)
