• PMS list: approximately 10700patients
• 7 GP Partners, 1 SalariedGP, 3 Physician Associates and an Advanced Clinical Practitioner
• We have 2 surgerieswithin the Barnsley Central area

• We provide minor illnessclinics and chronic disease clinics
• We are a training practice

We are seeking a friendly and motivated teamplayer for 15-20 hours per week.

• IT skills basic level for Word andOutlook and internet explorer

Essential Desirable

• Awareness of accountability of ownrole and other roles in a general practice
• Knowledge of public health issues inthe local area
• Experience of working on SystmOne
• Experience of working in primary care or NHS background

We are a large established training practice .

The surgeries are located centrally and easy to get to from the M1 and surrounding areas.

Our main site at Worsbrough is a purpose built 'LIFT' building and our branch surgery at Gold Street is a purpose built privately owned surgery.

JOB SUMMARY

To work within a multi disciplinary team ensuring the provision of high standards of service to the practice population.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform venipuncture on patients

Take blood pressure readings

Accurately label, handle, and process specimens

Maintain cleanliness and infection control standards

Provide excellent patient care and reassurance during procedures

Ensure proper documentation and data entry

BROADER RESPONSIBILITIES

When necessary to act as a representative of the practice and to carry out the above duties in a responsible and respectable fashion at all times, particularly as the way the practice is managed may be occasionally taken to reflect the standard of care provided.

Driving licence and car owner

Any other duties appropriate to the grading of the post.
