Job summary
A leading events technology company in the UK is seeking a Cable Technician to join their lighting team in Blackburn. This role involves maintaining cable equipment, prepping cables, and ensuring smooth logistics for high-end events. No experience is necessary, but candidates should have good attention to detail and a desire to work as part of a team. This is a full-time position on a 6-month fixed-term contract with potential for extension.
Qualifications
- No previous experience is required, just an interest in cables.
- Ability to carry out frequent manual handling tasks.
- Good visual abilities are necessary.
- Willingness to facilitate overtime including early mornings and weekend working.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cable department equipment by inspecting and repairing as necessary.
- Prep cables according to job requirements in a timely manner.
- Check in/check out equipment as per procedures.
- Organize all cables, connectors, and consumables.
- Assist with loading and unloading of vans and trucks.

We are currently seeking an experienced Cable Technician to join our lighting team at 4Wall Blackburn on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract from November to April, with the potential to extend until June.
The ideal candidate will have a thirst to learn, a keen eye for detail, outstanding organisation skills and possess the desire to be part of a collaborative team to strive for group success.
- Maintaining the cable department equipment to the highest standards by inspecting, testing and repairing as necessary.
- Prepping cables as per job requirements in a timely fashion.
- Checking in / Checking out equipment as per procedures.
- Organising all cables, connectors and consumables as per 4Wall working policy.
- Conducting periodic stock takes.
- Working as part of a wider team to help deliver exceptional service to our clients.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of vans and trucks.
