Band 8a Pharmacist
Zusammenfassung
A healthcare staffing agency is seeking an experienced Band 8a Pharmacist for a ward-based assignment in the UK. This role involves delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care, conducting clinical reviews, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Ideal candidates will be GPhC registered with experience at Band 7/8a level and strong clinical knowledge in acute care.
Qualifikationen
- Previous ward-based hospital experience (Band 7/8a level).
- Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary environment.
Aufgaben
- Deliver comprehensive clinical pharmacy services to assigned wards.
- Provide expert medicines optimisation support to multidisciplinary teams.
- Conduct medicines reconciliation and clinical reviews.
- Ensure safe and effective prescribing, dispensing and administration.
- Offer specialist advice to clinicians, nursing staff and patients.
- Contribute to discharge planning and patient counselling.

Hours: Monday To Friday, 08:45am – 17:00pm
Pay: £26.42/ hour – Standard £42.27/ hour – Bank Holiday
We are seeking an experienced Band8a Pharmacist to join a busty acute trust on a ward-based assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident clinician to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care across a range of specialities including:
- General Medicine
- Surgery
- Orthopaedics
- Deliver comprehensive clinical pharmacy services to assigned wards
- Provide expert medicines optimisation support to multidisciplinary teams
- Conduct medicines reconciliation and clinical reviews
- Ensure safe and effective prescribing, dispensing and administration
- Offer specialist advice to clinicians, nursing staff and patients
- Contribute to discharge planning and patient counselling
- GPhC Registered Pharmacist
- Previous ward-based hospital experience (Band 7/8a level)
- Strong clinical knowledge in acute care
- Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary environment
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
