This crucial role is a part time Legal Assistant to provide a full range of legal administrative support to our Legal Services Manager and other fee earners, in order to ensure the smooth running of our Legal Department.
This is an office based role so while there may be some opportunity for limited hybrid working in future the ability to attend the Council’s offices in Pippbrook Dorking in person (Monday through to Friday) is essential.
Our offices are ideally located opposite Dorking Halls, Dorking Leisure Centre and with direct views of Box Hill.
The Council’s legal team is made up of full time and part time solicitors and support staff working across the full range of district council functions. The team comprises a mixed range of experience from Trainee Solicitor to those who qualified 20+ years ago. A number of us have worked in different industries before retraining as solicitors, which brings a different interest and perspective to the way in which we work.

The role will suit someone who is educated to A’level (or equivalent experience) with excellent administrative skills, who is flexible and able to multitask.
