A leading care provider in Nether Poppleton seeks a Senior Care Assistant to deliver care across various settings, ensuring residents' dignity and independence. As a Senior Care Assistant at HC-One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. You will help deliver care across Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care settings, ensuring residents are treated with dignity, security and independence. You will know residents and their families to help deliver truly personalised care plans. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, maintain high standards of care, and influence the rest of the team. You may assist with activities, support residents at meal times, and communicate with families as needed. You will work with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager to provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities and may administer medication.
Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate records of your work and building strong relationships with colleagues. You will be involved in person-centred care planning and supporting residents with dementia.
Qualifications and requirements: ideally you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma/SNVQ in Adult Care and be prepared to work towards Level 3, or equivalent. A background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia is desirable. What is essential is your positive energy, ability to get along with people, good record-keeping, time management, and a genuinely caring and considerate approach when communicating with residents and co-workers.
