A national defense organization in the United Kingdom is seeking a qualified Occupational Medicine Consultant to deliver essential medical support to RAF personnel. Expressions of interest are invited for a uniformed position within the Royal Air Force (RAF) Occupational medicine (OM) cadre. You will work as part of a team alongside the existing team of six consultants, three trainees and four occupational health nurses to deliver a full range of OM interventions for the 32,500 RAF service personnel. You will provide specialist medical advice to senior staff and to unit commanders. To deliver the required outputs, the OM cadre works closely with colleagues from across primary care, environmental health and public health specialities.
The RAF delivers global air power supporting troops on the front line, flying in humanitarian aid for the sick and starving, policing the skies and defending the UK airspace.
RAF Occupational Medicine Consultants (OMC) play a vital role in ensuring personnel remain fit and ready for action in the UK and when deployed on operations overseas. A rare opportunity has arisen where they are looking to recruit a qualified Occupational Medicine Consultant to this unique role.
