Job summary
A childcare provider in Greater London is seeking an enthusiastic Nursery Deputy Manager. The successful candidate will assist the Nursery Manager, ensuring high standards of care and education. Responsibilities include supervising staff, maintaining safety records, and supporting children's individual needs. Ideal for motivated professionals with supervisory experience in a nursery setting. Level 3 in Childcare is required.
Qualifications
- Experience in a supervisory or deputy role within a nursery setting.

Responsibilities
- Assist in overall management and leadership of the nursery.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Nursery Deputy Manager to join our dedicated team. The Deputy Manager will support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the setting, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, and safeguarding are maintained.

- Assist the Nursery Manager in the overall management and leadership of the nursery.
- Support staff with planning and delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children at all times.
- Supervise, mentor, and motivate nursery practitioners to achieve their full potential.
- Maintain accurate records in line with Ofsted, safeguarding, and health & safety requirements.
- Work closely with parents / carers, building strong relationships and supporting children’s individual needs.
- Lead the nursery in the absence of the Manager.
- Contribute to staff recruitment, inductions, appraisals, and ongoing training.
- Minimum Level 3 in Childcare and Education (Level 5 desirable).
- Previous experience in a supervisory or deputy role within a nursery setting.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- A passion for providing outstanding early years education and care.
- Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the nursery.
- Level 3 in Childcare & Educatiom
