If you’re a Level 3 or above Qualified Early Years Teacher, we have the chance for you to join our Gumboots Nursery. We recognise you as a teacher at LEYF, but the role may also be known as Nursery Practitioner in other Early Years settings.

You can find us in East Dulwich at 171‑173 Crystal Palace Rd, SE22 9EP, close to East and North Dulwich stations, with lots of free off‑street parking. We are a spacious nursery with separate rooms and gardens for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Our children enjoy a varied and stimulating curriculum from baking sessions with our Chef to Zumba classes, gardening and trips out within the local community.

Why choose LEYF?

We've been around for a long time, 121 years to be precise, but we're always evolving, and you could evolve with us.

The best Early Years education is delivered by amazing teachers, and so we provide top training and development through our London Institute of Early Years to deepen your knowledge and practice.

Benefits
  • A salary of £29,958 per annum for full time, 40 hours per week. Let us know if you prefer your shifts to be split over 4 or 5 days. If you’re looking for less hours than 40 then we also encourage you to apply.
  • Generous pension to prepare for your future – We contribute 7% while you only contribute 1%!
  • 70% discount on childcare fees for your little one at a LEYF nursery.
  • Up to 35 days annual leave per year, including 8 bank holidays, 3 days off between Christmas and New Year, and your birthday off.
  • Sector‑leading parental leave.
  • Free Wellbeing app.
  • Shopping discounts.
  • Team celebrations in your nursery.
  • Annual company conference – a fun and informative whole company event.
What we look for in our Teachers
  • You’ll hold a Level 3 or above childcare qualification that is full and relevant for the Early Years sector to count in legal Nursery Practitioner ratios.
