Graduate Design Engineer - Temporary Works and Piling/Foundations

My client is recruiting a graduate design engineer for both their Shoring and Below ground propping design team and the above ground team based in their Manchester office. This role is suited to an engineer who has a keen interest in Geo-technical Engineering, including pile design, SI Interpretation and deep excavation support. You will have a degree or masters in civil engineering or equivalent.

There will be opportunities to work on Major Projects including propping for deep basements.

• Join and contribute to the Shoring and Below ground propping design team and the above ground design team in Manchester.
• Work on projects that combine Geotechnics with Structural Analysis and design, including bespoke steelwork designs and connections.
• Assist with design for temporary works including propping for deep basements on major projects.
• Participate in the company’s training and development programs, including their chartership training scheme.

• Degree or master's degree in civil engineering or an equivalent discipline.
• Interest in Geo-technical Engineering, including pile design, SI interpretation, and deep excavation support.
• Some engineering industry experience after leaving university is ideal, but exceptional recent graduates will be considered.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK; sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

The role involves training and development to achieve chartered status as soon as possible, with a focus on combining geotechnical and structural design. The position is being filled ASAP.
