We are currently recruiting for an Senior Construction Underwriter to join our established and experienced Specialist Underwriting team here at RSA on a hybrid basis.

Your Role

Your role as an Senior Construction Underwriter will involve working with selected brokers to optimise profitable growth from these accounts.

You will apply a range of underwriting, relationship management and business development techniques. The class of business is largely Single Period Risks so you will be spending your time focusing on New Business, both UK and International. The policies range in premium and you will be exposed to many large and complex risks.

You will spend your time working with your broker panel identifying, discussing, negotiating new business opportunities and making effective underwriting decisions. There will be a mixture of 'lead' and 'follow' business and potentially some travel (including International) if this is likely to add value to the role.

About You

To be successful in your role of Senior Construction Underwriter you will need extensive experience in Engineering Construction Underwriting or International Construction Underwriting with the ability to build and maintain broker relationships in order to win New Business.
