A leading educational agency is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support children with Autism in a mainstream Secondary School in Bexley. This full-time role begins in September and involves working alongside students with complex behavioural needs. Ideal for a Psychology or Criminology graduate seeking practical experience before pursuing a career in related fields. Responsibilities include maintaining engagement and supporting social skill development in students.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting children with Autism is preferred.
- Ability to engage and motivate students with complex needs.
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures in education.
Responsabilités
- Support children with a range of SEN & SEMH in the classroom.

- Work in smaller groups to accommodate individual needs.

Q - Do you have experience or are looking to gain experience supporting children with Autism?
This mainstream Secondary School located in the Borough of Bexley is looking for the perfect hard-working, resilient graduate to join their exceptional team! As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be working alongside pupils with SEMH & complex behavioural needs who require some additional guidance from a positive and assertive role model! You will support their everyday routine and keep them engaged and motivated to learn in the classroom. This is a full-time, long-term post, commencing in September.
- This is an ideal position for a Psychology / Criminology graduate who is seeking first-hand experience before pursuing a career as a Prison Liaison Officer, Therapist, Counsellor, Youth Mentor amongst others.
- Supporting children with a range of SEN & SEMH to keep them engaged in the classroom
- Encourage the development of the students' social skills
- Work within the classroom and in smaller groups to accommodate needs
- Support and comply with the school's safeguarding procedures
- Full-time, long-term position starting ASAP
- Located in the Borough of Bexley
