An international law firm in Central London is seeking an Accounts Assistant for a 14-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. The role involves assisting with the production of management accounts and financial analysis. Applicants must have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role within a law firm and possess strong Excel skills. This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring 2 days a week working from home.

Qualifications

  • Working in a law firm or other LLP is mandatory.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar financial reporting role.

Totum Partners is working with an international Law firm who is seeking to hire an Accounts Assistant on a 14-month FTC to cover one of their members of staff on maternity leave. The role is centred around assisting with the production of management accounts, financial analysis and VAT.

Accounts Assistant
Based in Central London (2 days-a-week working from home)
Accounts Assistant Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation of monthlymanagement accounts
  • Cost analysis and spend vs budget reporting
  • Assist with the production and submission of VAT returns
  • Provide assistance with partnership tax computations
  • Respond to General Ledger queries
  • Reconciliations
Accounts Assistant Experience
  • APPLICANTS MUST BE WORKING IN A LAW FIRM OR OTHER LLP
  • 1 year+ experience working in a similar financial reporting role (within an LLP environment)
  • Strong Excel and numeracy skills
  • Enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn
