A global media company in London is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Controllership team. This contract position will be crucial for delivering accurate accounting and financial reporting across EMEA. Key responsibilities include managing quarterly reporting, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP. Ideal candidates are fully qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with strong interpersonal and communication skills. The position pays up to £450 a day and is primarily office-based with some remote work.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Accountant with ACA, ACCA, or CIMA certification.

• Excellent communication skills for rationale and information sharing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quarterly accounts preparation and reporting.
• Prepare financial reports for stakeholders.
• Ensure timely submission of reporting packages.
• Present at quarterly country close meetings.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations.
• Produce business reports with commentary.
• Support management with ad hoc tasks and analysis.
• Identify and drive process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with internal control requirements.
