We’re on the lookout for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities Management team at HMP Addiewell – a unique working environment where no two days are the same. This is more than just a maintenance role — it’s a chance to be part of a team that supports safer, stronger communities.
As part of Sodexo Justice Services, you’ll work in a dynamic and purposeful setting, contributing to the rehabilitation and positive progression of those in our care. HMP Addiewell is a learning prison, where we focus on education, skills development, and creating second chances.
Deliver a first-class, professional FM service across the prison estate.
Support the FM team and Maintenance Supervisor with day-to-day operations.
Allocate and manage tasks via Global Maximo, ensuring deadlines are met.
Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations, health & safety standards, and Sodexo policies.
Keep detailed records of all maintenance tasks and report any issues or defects.
Be part of our on-call rota, work alongside external contractors, and maintain trade and environmental standards.
A recognised apprenticeship and relevant trade qualifications.
A proactive, systematic approach to work — with an eye for safety and quality.
Ability to work independently or within a team, maintaining high standards.
Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Willingness to assist other trades and take on a variety of maintenance tasks.
