Job Title: Analytical Chemist - Chromatography

Location: Loughborough

How will you make an impact?

• Analyze raw materials and samples using approved analytical methods.
• Assist in investigating quality-related issues.
• Sample incoming raw materials for QC according to procedures.

What will you do?

• Ensure accuracy and precision in material analysis.
• Prioritize work based on business needs.
• Develop and approve new methods if needed.
• Calibrate instruments following quality procedures.
• Follow quality systems, procedures, and instructions.
• Report issues and actions regarding analytical problems.
• Identify quality issues and investigate using problem-solving skills.
• Maintain standards of precision and accuracy within target times.
• Keep accurate records of all work and observations.
• Update Laboratory Information Management System for material release.
• Maintain and repair instruments as needed.
• Write procedures and conduct assessments as required.
• Work safely, adhering to EHS policies and safety instructions.
• Conduct safety audits periodically.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Handle chemicals safely and report unsafe practices or incidents.
• Ensure proper waste disposal protocols are followed.

Experience:

• Degree in Analytical Chemistry or related field.
• Experience working in a laboratory environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Experience with chromatography techniques.
