A leading UK digital infrastructure and data-centre operator is seeking an experienced Town Planner / Planning Officer to support planning and development activities across a growing portfolio of mission-critical facilities.
This organisation owns and operates highly secure, technically advanced data centres supporting some of the UKs most demanding enterprise and cloud clients. With long-term investment, a strong development pipeline, and an in-house delivery model, they offer a stable and professional environment for senior planning specialists.
You will provide planning expertise across live and upcoming data-centre developments, supporting applications, variations, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring compliance with local and national planning policy.
This is a flexible contract role, well suited to an experienced planner looking for a high-value, low-friction engagement within a technically sophisticated organisation.
- Support planning strategy for data centre and digital infrastructure developments
- Prepare and manage planning applications, amendments, and supporting documentation
- Liaise with local authorities, consultants, and internal project teams
- Advise on planning risk, constraints, and mitigation strategies
- Support discharge of planning conditions and ongoing compliance
- Contribute planning input to development programmes and project timelines
- Proven experience as a Town Planner or Planning Officer
- Strong understanding of UK planning policy and development control
