Job summary
A technology consulting firm in the United Kingdom is seeking an AI Architect to shape the data infrastructure for AI-driven quantitative research. This fully remote role requires expertise in designing data architectures for AI/ML teams and knowledge of AWS analytics stack. Candidates should have strong Python skills and an understanding of quant research workflows. The position offers an initial six-month contract outside of IR35.
Qualifications
- Proven experience designing and implementing data architectures for AI/ML teams.
- Deep technical knowledge of AWS analytics stack (S3, Lambda, Glue).
- Hands-on experience with Apache Iceberg and Python (Polars).
- Familiarity with notebook-based workflows (e.g., Jupyter), reproducibility, and feature pipelines.
- Understanding of quant research workflows, feature engineering, and model development.

Skills

You'll be shaping the data infrastructure that underpins AI-driven quantitative research. The role focuses on transforming raw market data into structured, enriched datasets that empower researchers to build and test models with minimal engineering friction.
Key responsibilities include designing and implementing data architectures for AI/ML teams, and enabling efficient data workflows for quantitative research.
- Proven experience designing and implementing data architectures for AI/ML teams
- Deep technical knowledge of AWS analytics stack (S3, Lambda, Glue)
- Hands-on experience with Apache Iceberg and Python (Polars)
- Familiarity with notebook-based workflows (e.g., Jupyter), reproducibility, and feature pipelines
- Understanding of quant research workflows, feature engineering, and model development
- Bonus: Rust development experience
- Strong ability to bridge technical engineering and research needs in R&D-heavy environments
