Our client seeks a junior to mid level associate to join their prestigious Tech Transactions team within the Commercial department. This hire will focus on the Defence sector. The post holder will assist on a range of technology‑specific agreements, from licensing, cloud, SaaS and IoT agreements to more project focused documents supporting outsourcings, (public and private) procurements and technology implementation projects, demonstrating a real interest in the (legal) issues inherent in technology contracting and, with increasing seniority, bringing proven insight and experience in one or more key areas such as connectivity, IT and/or non‑personal data.

You will demonstrate involvement and understanding of the contracts, risks and relationships in one or more of the following key areas for the Tech Transactions group, namely:

• Connectivity (eg IoT, cloud, hosting, telecoms)
• IT (eg SaaS, software development & licensing, VARs)
• Non‑personal data (eg licensing, development and exploitation)
• Assist the adoption and implementation of technologies in different contexts, such as in the financial services industry, retail, aviation & defence, media or energy sector

A real interest in the (legal) issues inherent in technology contracting and, with increasing seniority, bringing proven insight and experience in one or more key areas such as connectivity, IT and/or non‑personal data.
