Vector Recruitment Solutions is partnering with our renowned global environmental compliance and water specialist client to recruit a highly technical and driven Technical Sales Manager for their Water Business Unit. This is a crucial role responsible for driving the sales of complex Water Treatment Equipment products and solutions across the UK.

This is a field‑based sales role with an expectation for working away nationally during the week for at least three days; the other two days will be spent either working from home or, if possible, within the office. You’ll be the technical authority in the field, engaging with high‑level consultancies, specifiers, M&E contractors, and water treatment service providers. • Lead generation and direct engagement with potential and existing customers (Consultancies, M&E, Water Service Providers) to identify technical equipment requirements.
• Technical Authority: Attend site surveys, identify suitable water treatment equipment (e.g., base exchange, reverse osmosis, dosing equipment, and filtration), and develop bespoke installation solutions.
• Commercial Strategy: Work closely with internal finance, sales, and operations teams to align on pricing, margin goals, and sales forecasts.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed weekly and monthly sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for the Commercial Director.
• Collaboration: Liaise with the internal water consultancy business to highlight and capture prospective opportunities.

The ideal candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with deep, practical technical knowledge of water treatment systems.

• Proven Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the UK Water Industry.
• Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge and hands‑on experience selecting and selling base exchange, reverse osmosis, dosing equipment, and filtration solutions.
• Sales Success: A demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Drive & Accuracy: Highly self‑motivated, accurate, professional, and proficient in managing multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines.

• Ideally, a science or engineering‑based qualification is preferred, though relevant industry experience is highly valued.
• Must be willing to undertake required internal Health & Safety and HR training modules.
