Job summary
A financial services company in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced underwriter to support new business relationships and adhere to compliance regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in income protection products and excellent communication skills. The role is permanent with a work-from-home option.
Qualifications
- Highly experienced with a strong protection background.
- Experience working within an underwriting team.
- Must have authority for income protection products.
Responsibilities
- Underwrite new and existing business to achieve business goals.
- Support new business relationships with financial advisers.
- Adhere to the Data Protection Act and relevant policies.
Skills
To underwrite new and existing business to achieve their business goal
- Location: WFH

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):
- Supporting new business relationships by providing financial advisers with pre- sales underwriting guidance
- Provide input into the Company’s underwriting processes
- To maintain an understanding of, and adhere to, the Data Protection Act, Anti-Money Laundering regulations and all relevant policies and procedures
- To maintain an awareness of the importance of risk within the Company and to bring any matters of concern to the attention of the head of underwriting
- You must be highly experienced with a strong protection background
- You must have experience of working within an underwriting team with a high level of authority for income protection products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
