Job summary

A leading digital streaming service is seeking a Senior Build Systems Engineer to enhance their client build infrastructure. The ideal candidate will design and maintain Bazel-based systems, lead improvements in build performance, and mentor peers in a collaborative environment. Strong experience in multi-language build systems and a passion for developer productivity are essential. This role offers flexibility to work from home with some in-person meetings, based in London or Stockholm.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in at least one of: iOS, Android, C++, or Web.
• Proven experience designing or scaling build systems with Bazel.
• Strong understanding of hermetic builds, remote caching, and distributed execution.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Bazel-based build systems for the client monorepo.
• Lead improvements to build performance, remote caching, and reliability.
• Develop tooling that improves IDE integration and developer ergonomics.
