If it touches a consumer, we shape it. We bring deep insight into human behavior, design, and technology to craft experiences that feel intuitive, expressive, and unmistakably Spotify.

CoreX is part of Spotify’s Experience Mission, focusing on the foundational experiences that make Spotify feel seamless across mobile platforms. Our team works at the intersection of audio, text, and AI, building features like podcast transcripts, subtitles, and lyrics across the Spotify app. We are passionate about enhancing text experiences during playback to deepen engagement, improve accessibility, and make content more discoverable, while giving users new ways to capture, share, and connect with the meaning behind the words.

  • Mentor and guide mid-level Android engineers (Eng II), fostering technical excellence and collaborative growth within the team.
  • Own end-to-end development from technical planning through release, ensuring quality, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Partner with backend and data teams to optimize how text data is delivered to the mobile platform.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and help evolve Spotify’s Android framework for text and accessibility features.
  • Drive innovation by exploring how AI can accelerate feature development and improve the Spotify listening experience.

  • You have a strong grasp of text rendering, accessibility , and a curiosity about connecting audio and text experiences.
  • You have experience collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams and communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical partners.
  • You are motivated by mentorship and enjoy helping other engineers grow through coaching, reviews, and pair programming.
  • You are comfortable working in an AI-integrated environment, leveraging AI tools and models to improve code quality, translation accuracy, and innovation speed.
  • You care deeply about building experiences that are inclusive, accessible, and delightful for millions of listeners around the world.
