As our Software Engineer, you will support and develop OT applications, integrate automation systems, and play a key role in driving smart factory and Industry 4.0 digital transformation initiatives.
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain OT applications and automation systems.
- Configure and deploy SCADA, HMI, and MES systems across production environments.
- Develop automation scripts and PLC logic for industrial control systems.
- Build and integrate custom OT applications using C# and web-based languages/frameworks.
- Commission, test, and validate OT applications on production lines.
- Integrate OT systems with enterprise IT platforms for analytics, reporting, and IT/OT convergence.
- Proficient in C# for application development and system integration, with database knowledge.
- Knowledge of PLCs.
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Strong experience with SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP).
- Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines across multiple projects.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Early finish on Fridays – circa 20 Fridays off per year.

BASIC SALARY: £35,000 - £40,000
LOCATION: You'll be working from our office based in Wrexham.
COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Chester, Deeside, Oswestry, Ellesmere, Whitchurch, Crewe, Shrewsbury, Mold, Rhyl, Nantwich
