Responsibilities

We are seeking a programme project manager who will be deployed a Government Framework. Within the programme we are working collaboratively with a project & cost management consultant and a specialist services consultant in a strategic relationship to help move to a programmatic delivery model; this means that each project has a collaborative project delivery team set up. You would be managing WSPs delivery for a suite of projects in the portfolio and using your skills as a pragmatic practitioner of NEC forms of contract to apply it in a collaborative and positive fashion.

The successful candidate will be managing the London portfolio of projects. This is focused on creating greater efficiency in how the London civil service offices are utilised by the different government departments. This includes refurbishment of existing facilities as well as bringing some of the historic heritage estate back into use. You will be working closely with the projects Design Managers and Project Directors, who are London based, to successfully deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

You will be the primary point of contact for the client and partners. You will be driving collaborative and effective delivery and management of change instructions, early warnings, budgets, programme, reporting; ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the design and construction phases.

The role will require you to effectively manage your time across the competing demands of the projects within your portfolio. You will be dealing with preventative interventions to ensure that the project teams are fully aware and meeting their committed schedule for design delivery.

You may be leading stand‑ups, pull‑planning sessions and driving delivery to the schedule. You will be making sure that the project teams are not creeping scope and that teams, clients and partners are fully aware of, and aligned, on boundaries and interfaces. You will be leaning in on issues as they arise to ensure that there is a clear and effective resolution approach being implemented.

For the right candidate the opportunity exists to take on national responsibility at framework contract level, leading a small programme team that is focussed on driving consistency and programmatic working across the national portfolio of projects.

The role will sit within our Property and Building Major Project Services team.
