Job summary
A leading biotech company in Stevenage is seeking an Electrophysiologist for a 12-month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will join a preclinical R&D team focused on novel ion channel therapeutics. Responsibilities include conducting and analyzing electrophysiology experiments, and presenting findings at conferences. A relevant PhD and experience in in-vitro experiments are preferred. CK Group are recruiting for an Electrophysiologist to join an innovative biotech with a strong pipeline of pre‑clinical and clinical candidates. The role will be fully based at their laboratories in Stevenage.
This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
- Join a small, focused preclinical R&D group focused on the discovery and development of novel ion channel therapeutics.
- Plan, execute and analyze electrophysiology‑focused experiments to drive drug discovery and new target validation.
- Give scientific presentations at internal and external meetings, including conferences and to partner companies.
- Relevant PhD preferred.
- Experience with in‑vitro whole cell patch.
- Strong understanding of ion chemistry, neuroscience and the principles of electrophysiology and pharmacology.
- Experience with solid supported membrane‑based electrophysiology (SSME) desirable.
- Competitive salary, ranging between £30,000 - £40,000.
